Enrolment: Parents who wish to enrol their child for the school year 2012 / 2013 should contact the school for more details.
Looking Ahead...
§ Saturday 21st January: Enrolment ceremony for Confirmation – Tubberclare Church 7.30 p.m.
§ Monday 13th February: Confirmation Retreat to Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo.
§ Thursday 16th & Friday 17th February: School closed (Mid-term Break).
§ Tuesday 6th March: Trip to National Concert Hall, Dublin (4th, 5th & 6th classes).
§ Tuesday 6th March: First Confession at 7 p.m. in Tubberclare Church.
§ Thursday 15th March: Confirmation at 3 p.m. in Tubberclare Church.
§ Friday 16th March: School Closed (School Holiday).
§ Monday 19th March: School Closed (Public Holiday).
§ Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd March: RSE Programme Workshop for 5th & 6th classes.
§ Monday 26th to Thursday 29th March: Féile Ceoil in the Dean Crowe Theatre.
§ Friday 30th March: School closes at 3 p.m. for Easter Holidays.
School Transport: Please encourage your child to exercise care, be of good behaviour and be courteous to the driver and classmates while on the bus. Seat belts must be worn – please advise your child accordingly.
Parking: Please leave the area designated for School Buses free at all times. Do not park or turn at the school’s entrance gate. Do not park at Kearneys’ or at Maddens’.
Clothing: During these winter months children should wear a coat at lunchtime and also have an old tracksuit bottoms to wear over their uniform when playing on the field. A spare pair of socks is also useful on days that the grass is wet.

Children in 5th and 6th classes will be taking part in the Eason Spelling Bee 2012 initiative in partnership with RTÉ 2fm’s Tubridy show

Children from 5th and 6th classes will be taking part in the local stage of the Credit Union Schools’ Quiz on Sunday 5th February. Last year, our Under 11 team reached the All-Ireland Final.

Welcome to Ms. Sarah Brooks who has joined the staff while Ms. Dermody is on maternity leave.

Collection of clothes and old mobile phones before Christmas raised €235 for school funds. Another collection will be organised later in this school year.

Children in 5th class will be taking part in a 6 week Spike Volleyball coaching programme in February.
